The link is broken.

I laughed at the word “condemn”, as if it’s a prison sentence to be a housewife.

If you have no choice, whatever your hopes, your tastes, it can be.

Patriarchy is a complex matter

If only there were more female billionaires :see_no_evil_monkey:

Most women would be happy to have a rich husband and not have to work.

Prove it !!!

How many men would be happy to have a rich wife and not have to work ?

In fact, i have known women and men, wed to rich people, who worked. their salaries were their pocket money, and a way to affirm their independence, but they worked. And it was also a way to be busy, and to meet people, to stay socially and mentally alive.

Now that women can go to school if they want, choose how many children to have, call the police if their husband beats them, start a business if they want, and get a loan, I suppose that sounds like a great option.

Women’s rights means they can choose to be stay at home moms of they want. It’s a noble passion, something they should be recognized for, and get all the benefits that men get, like health care and retirement.

Most women would trade women’s rights for a rich husband and not having to work.

Some men would like it. The problem is women are not attracted to men who make less money than them.

Other ideas

I didn’t see anything about this study that indicates women have are giving up any rights when choosing their husbands, or how they feel about the choices they made. I’m not sure it even controls well for the choices they have.

Prior to 1980, when women had less rights, they were choosing between a bread-winner that they might not really like, and not surviving at all, with extremely limited options for having children. This study doesn’t address the changes since then at all.

Funny I woke up this morning thinking of the Dunning-Kruger, and lookie, first think I open is a master class example, from a master of the art form.

It’s like trying to reason with a slug.

Its normal to look in the mirror first thing in the morning

Journalist opinions don’t hold up to data.

Good straw man.

This is your claim

Most women would trade women’s rights for a rich husband and not having to work.

How is the study evidence for that?

My links are in response to Morgankane’s idea that women would rather work than be a housewife.

My comments are in response to your links

But, I don’t. I never got into the vanity thing of primping in front of the mirror all the time. Different strokes for different folks, and my wife still love me. :face_blowing_a_kiss:

Living on forty acres makes it easier to be causal. Besides, to be clear, I was thinking about thatoneguy making pronouncements about what women are thinking.

As for Dunning-Kruger I don’t think I’m a good candidate because my spirit is too wedded to learning and honest understanding. I allow the evidence to build my stories, and I love seeking out new evidence to substantiate or correct my understanding. I don’t mind being shown to be wrong, if you provide some evidence and explain the why of my mistakes.

You provide no or terrible analysis of why or how we got here regarding working class issues and your criticism of trump has dried up as fast as the Colorado River now that trump is making headlines with what he is doing in israel, gaza, lebanon and iran

WTF is wrong with you? You responded to the wrong comment.

Its not a one off…,!
