As far as I can tell, the pathogen hypothesis makes the most sense. I obviously don't believe there is some "gay bug," but it could very well be some kind of virus that rewires the brain, similarly to what toxo does. I guess the next step would be to figure out if it can be contagious. And that's pretty much it. I just want to know more before I can decide if gays should be allowed to adopt kids.If there is a pathogen causing homosexuality, it must be not only present in heterosexuals but rampant in heterosexuals. Nearly every gay person on earth was born to and raised by heterosexuals. If you are worried about a pathogen causing homosexuality you'd better look for it in the heterosexual community, perhaps in yourself and your own family. And maybe you should consider this before you decide whether straight people should be allowed to adopt kids since we know for a fact that gay kids are coming from straight parents.

I can’t believe that the marriage debate in the Supreme Court is using that old Marriage is about procreation idea, wasn’t that silly old idea done away with long ago? The Court read that the Congress passed DOMA arguing that it was for the sake of morality? I can’t believe how backwards the Congress still is! The gays are immoral, huh? I’m so surprised. In a world of 7 billion people, do we really need more procreation? Gays are just a normal part of society, a minority sure, but normal. Anytime that you see in history that there are some anti-gay ideas, that is proof that there were gays in that society, someone saw the gays first and then reacted to them with anti-gay ideas, the anti-gay reaction is proof that there were gays in ancient societies through today’s societies. Today the US Congress, the US Military, the Boy Scouts, the NFL, Rock ‘n’ Roll, NASA’s astronaut program, and all those many Pride parades in so many cities around the world are, at least in part, gay.

If two people are in a loving and committed relationship and are stable enough financially to support children who otherwise would grow up in the street, I can't believe people would try to stop that.

The delusion that marriage was always about love also should be highlighted. It was all about wealth and property acquisition.
I find most adults realize marriage is about a lot of things. It is true that our western concept of marriage is fairly unique but that doesn’t mean it’s delusional. Really it’s the only type of marriage that gays can actually participate in.
