I would say this belongs in the philosophy section, but it is clearly a discussion of science. You can’t have science without a philosophy of it. It’s distinct from accounting, where you have rules, and you must follow the rules, or your books are off and you can get arrested for it. The “philosophy” of accounting is “follow these rules”. Science isn’t like that.
