Philomena]

Here’s another one: Snowpiercer. I won’t reveal the plot but it’s about a new ice age brought about by the reaction to global warming and a perpetual motion international train carrying the remains of humanity. Think politics, religion and Malthusian philosophy. Cool movie.
Cap’t Jack
I heard Snowpiercer is good. Philomena Lee is a real person who with the help of an out-of-work (and atheist) reporter tracks down her son that was sold to American parents from a nunnery/sweat shop in Ireland. It’s an important personal story of the abuses of the Catholic church, but it is also a story of how the generations since Generation X are unable to understand much of what it was like before 1980.
If you like those types of movies you also might try, Secrets & Lies and Vera Drake by Mike Leigh.
I recommend both movies.

Vera Drake is played out in the courts and Secrets and Lies is between family members. You're saying what I'm trying to say, got to work on my wording to express my point. In Vera, there was a generation gap just like you are talking about that is happening today in generation X. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vera_Drake http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secrets_&_Lies_(film)
