Perception is reality, reason be dammed!

Perception is reality, reason be dammed!
Unfortunately, perception as the basis of truth is as strong today in popular culture as it has ever been. The realms of religion and supernatural belief are still the strongholds of perception masquerading as truth but the success of the power of reason though science in producing benefits and injuries in our modern world have formed reason into a tool for all human efforts.
Reason knows no religion, it knows no dogma, it knows no politics, it is not supernatural revelation, and it has no conscience. It is a process and it is not perfect and does not always lead to truth. Reason can be subverted by human desire and falsely made to prove the unprovable. But only through honest reason and hard work can reality be found. Religion fears honest reason and works incessantly to use the essence of reason to twist reality into supernatural realms. But since reason is a process and not a product it cannot be owned by any human intent, interest, or belief.
Martin Luther, the midwife of Protestantism, instinctively knew the dangers of honest reason to the supernatural basis of religion and vehemently warred against the use of reason to question the veracity of religion. As evidenced by a number of his writings, to wit:
“Reason is the Devil’s greatest whore; by nature and manner of being she is a noxious whore; she is a prostitute, the Devil’s appointed whore; whore eaten by scab and leprosy who ought to be trodden under foot and destroyed, she and her wisdom… Throw dung in her face to make her ugly. She is and she ought to be drowned in baptism… She would deserve, the wretch, to be banished to the filthiest place in the house, to the closets."
—Martin Luther, Works, Erlangen Edition v. 16, pp. 142-148.
The rejection of honest reason is no longer so overt. However, we must value honest reason very highly and use it to continuously question and refine the products of reason to find the truths of our reality. False reason used overtly and subversively to produce and advance supernatural agendas must continue to be exposed and refuted. This is a mission that requires dedication and consistency.

The way I view reason. Reason is a process of knowledge. Knowledge is nothing more than comparison thinking. The more you know about one subject, the more comparison thinking can be done on that subject.
