My hero Jimmy Carter wrote a book, called “Peace Not Apartheid” some years ago. He defined “apartheid” as the forced segregation by one people of another on their own land. He was directing this book at Israel’s continuing occupation of parts of Palestine.
It caused somewhat of a backlash toward Jimmy, at the time. (How dare he say such a thing? kind of responses)
The Israeli’s priority, after these years, still seems to be apartheid (as per Jimmy’s definition) over peace.
