And, also unhappily when the other side rewrites some books to take off what they feel to be offensive words, i cringe in the same way.
Result, Huckleberry Finn is censored by both side. On side because it is an immoral woke book, and the other side because it use bad words and promote stereotypes.

I think we’re already getting past the worst of “trigger warnings” in academia. The extreme Left tends to be small and self corrective because of all the other liberal values. Conservatives however, I’m afraid will be around for a long time, like centuries. It’s too ingrained in us to be comfortable with tradition and afraid of change.
I know this is unpopular position, but understanding that, and showing that understanding to individual Conservatives is a path to creating the change.
