Living the Dream

At the Madison Freethought Festival this year, Hemant Mehta talked a chart many of you have seen, where atheists continue to be unable to get respect enough to be considered as Presidential candidates. But, looking at that chart, I"m hopeful. Women and blacks and other groups have done well in what I think is a very short period of history. I’m not diminishing the struggle, I’m acknowledging the progress.

I figure the best chance for an atheist would be for a black jewish female lesbian to run, and not mention that she is also an atheist until she is too far ahead in the polls to lose.
