JUNE 2019

Update, April 7, 2023: Since publication, Justice Clarence Thomas has made a public statement defending his undisclosed trips.

IN LATE JUNE 2019, right after the U.S. Supreme Court released its final opinion of the term, Justice Clarence Thomas boarded a large private jet headed to Indonesia. He and his wife were going on vacation: nine days of island-hopping in a volcanic archipelago on a superyacht staffed by a coterie of attendants and a private chef.

Oh lordie, lordie, yet another billionaire’s vacation for Supreme Court Justice.

MSNBC Legal analyst and former president and director-counsel of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund Sherrilyn Ifill on Justice Thomas failing to disclose additional private jet travel with Harlan Crowe, as well as Justice Gorsuch’s caution that Biden should “be careful” with SCOTUS reforms.

Oh and then Gorsuch’s “threat”, bullying, condescension. It is going to get interesting.
