Transgenderism is a symptom, in my opinion, of a society that has allowed so much erosion of decent, wholesome values in the name of "freedom" that it has lost control of some people who can see no clear, unambiguous set of values and wander into confused, self-destructive behaviors in an attempt to find an answer to their personal problems. If society says "do your own thing" and ignore what others think then some people will be inclined to do exactly that.
Here's a little help to get started living in the real world conservatives. 1. Climate change is real, it's caused by us and is very, very serious. 2. We actually did evolve from earlier species and are closely related to other great apes and ultimately all life on the planet. 3. Lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transsexuals really do exist, they're not a fantasy created by "liberals". 4. Trump is a psychopath that has no place running America at all. That's enough for one day, learning to live in the real world can be taxing... your living in denial is going to kill us all.The first two statement are scientifically supportable, however, that does not demonstrate that the third statement supports the claims of lesbians, bisexuals and transsexuals that they are physiologically destined to be that way. In many cases it is simply a "fashion statement" driven by social trends. The fourth statement is a matter of opinion.
Conservatives aren't just in denial of how complex human sexuality is,Truncated because its thread relevant unlike most of your posts -- Not quite. Human sexuality is fairly simple when its healthy. When its disordered it becomes complex I agree. Human beings have a great capacity to experiment in areas where over-indulgence can and does leads to unnatural practices. Drug experimentation is another good example of this.

I have not made myself as clear as I could and for that I apologize. I am prepared to accept there are genuine cases where an individual has a biologically based gender problem, and for these I have sympathy and think they need help. However, human beings can be 'seduced' by things they have seen and heard in the media and can all too easily 'project' their personal problems onto others who do have a genuine condition. This is why self-diagnosis should always be viewed with some scepticism until a proper determination is made (if ever). In our liberal, politically correct society we are too easily prepared to show sympathy for people who seem to need help but this can be counterproductive if it does not serve the best interests of them. That's all I'm saying.

As has already been pointed out to you sexuality is far more complex that a binary on/off switch. Just ask all those republicans who like you condemn in public anyone who doesn't adhere strictly to a "conventional" sexual stereotype but in private often do express a far more complex sexuality. Often in ways that are far more personally and socially destructive than people who are very open about their sexual nature. So this is just more of conservative, "Do as I say, not as I do" hypocrisy. Why do think so many people no longer take conservatives seriously at all. Look at what you have in the White House, what a debacle Fox Network has become and how out of touch the entire conservative movement is. Maybe we should get that arch-conservative Bill O'Reilly to chime in on his take on sexuality that could include how sexual harassment is perfectly acceptable. But we don't hear from him much anymore for some reason. We're not living in the world 250 or even 50 years ago, the more we understand nature which includes ourselves the more we understand just how complex human nature is including sexuality. That may seem threatening to people who seemingly want to control everything while at the same time behaving in whatever way they please. Which is exactly what defines conservatives today in the US when you look at who they just put in the White House and how they love to condemn others in public for many of exactly the same things they do in private.
