India to Pakistan: Oops

India said on Friday it had accidentally fired a missile into Pakistan this week because of a “technical malfunction” during routine maintenance,

India says it accidentally fired a missile into Pakistan - CNN

Not much to say here … or should I say I’m at a loss for words!

So many buttons to push, so little oversight.
So little appreciation for cascading consequences.

The Exponential Function (see Albert Bartlett)

Albert who, never heard of him.

:scream:

You’ve got to be kidding! I’ve mentioned the name of this famous Professor Emeritus of the University of Colorado several times before because his message was prophetic, but based on simple mathematics;
the Exponential Function"

Are you telling me you have NOT listened to this “essential” lecture?

If you are not intimately familiar with that growth function you will be unable to understand the consequences of steady growth a subject that is dear to your heart.

I’m sure you have listened to his “must know” lecture, but for those readers who are not familiar with this, please do yourself a favor and listen to this easy lecture that explains just about every steady growth function of everything.
I promise that you will have an entirely new insight on almost everything that one encounters in just plain living.

For those who are familiar with the Exponential Function, they know what I am talking about.

Yes, I am kidding.
:no_mouth:
Not to be overly snarky I started sharing his videos around here (years ago) well before you did. Although I’m not finding the supporting evidence in the search function, but I’m quite sure 2018 wasn’t my first mention and I do see your first recorded mention is 2013, so I’ll call it a draw.

Oh and for the record, I first Iearned about him while in Denver early '90s - the topic and his message rang such a loud and clear message that made sense and I started sharing his work with others.

War.

Did US start another war in response to India’s close relations to Russia?

India has a long standing relationship with Russia.

Pakistan is not especially an US ally.

World events may have other explantions than a US plot or action.

India is building closer ties with Russia militarily and economically . The empire of chaos - USA is at war with BRICS and this escalation comes at an opportune time with Victory Day celebrations. Straight out of the American playbook divide and rule.

Total nonsense.

India and Pakistan hate each other and have gone to war in the past. Both countries are corrupt beyond belief. Both countries harbor groups that engage in sectarian violence.

That is more than enough to spark conflict.

I fully agree with thatoneguy

I would add that both countries are led by very nationalistic leaders wo think they cannot be seen as weak.

During the India/Pakistan war of 1971/72, the US had given arms and ammunition to Pakistan to fight against India.
When the Indian army surrounded Islamabad and wanted to blow that place off the map, the US 7th fleet came into the Indian Ocean and threatened India.
However a Russian Submarine fleet surfaced behind the US 7th fleet and warned them that if they fired even one shot towards India, the Russians would sink the entire US 7th fleet.
Russia has been a long term friend and ally of India.
President Trump didn’t invite Prine Minister Modi to his inauguration, in order to put down Modi and coerce India to buy F35 fighter jets from the US, since Russia had offered India the SU57 fighter jets.
Hope the Indian Government realises which of these two countries is a true friend and which one is trying to threaten and subjugate India.
India also needs to patch up differences with China diplomatically, so that the US cannot use their divide and rule policy, otherwise they will try to use India against China, since the US badly wants a war with China.
I wouldn’t be one bit surprised if the US had a hand in the terrorist attack in Kashmir, using a Pakistani terrorist group.
The US has a long history of employing Terrorists all over the world.

The US has sold military equipment to both nations, but it has been a long time ally of India. Modi visited Washington DC a couple months ago.

US-Pakistan relations are limited at best.

USA are an imperialist state, but so is China. And China is a totalitarian state, not yet USA.

USA are not the goods ones, but they are not the only bad ones.

And China is in conflict with India, about their respective borders.
