Doing the war with Hitler a man name Alan Turing helped decode the Enigma Machine which some say saved four years of war. Maybe he even saved us from a total invasion. This man was gay and then drugged for his choice of sexual companionship. He suicide himself they say, though some mind controlling drugs also have side effects of suicide and suicide thoughts. So this is how people repaid this guy for helping with a war. It’s unfortunate that this happened. I leave you to your thoughts.

I think the world is well aware of Mr. Turing and what he did. Unfortunately the hatred of gays is woven deep in the threads of religion as well as in what our society has told us to believe so informing us of the positive contributions by gays will not advance us far but our culture is changing, so there is now hope that in the future we will all be accepted as equals.

Not that it changed his fate, but Queen Elizabeth gave him a public pardon and apology a couple years ago.
I would hope gay people don’t need to save the world in order to be liked.

Every gay person I've met to date has been friendly, open, polite, etc. Non-gay people I've met...I'd say 50/50, half being jerks right off the bat. Mexicans too...never met one who hasn't been friendly, family oriented, respectful, etc. i.e. a normal person. Maybe it's the vibe haters like so many conservatives give off that puts minorities on defense.

Good points. Most of the annoying people I know are white.
