And you blame Democrats for the Republican platform of unrestricted Capitalism.
How quaint.

THE WEAVE
Were the U.S. anything other than our species’ most effectively subjugated nation, Schumer’s treachery would not only terminate his political career; it would also trigger a mass rejection of his plutocratic party and the disciplined, revolutionary socialist rising of the 99.9 Percent to forever neutralize the self-serving cabal of servile puppets to which the Democrats forever reduced themselves by their (willing) surrender to the perpe-traitors of the 22 November 1963 coup.
Yes, well let’s keep watch and see where Trump will lead us on his Holy Quest for immortality.
Willingly abled by the Democrats
Well, seems we are now entering an Aesop fable.
Yes, the Democrats are the enablers of the right-wing extremists in Trump’s cabinet. How anyone can continue to support the Democrats in any way is beyond my understanding. They remind me of the Gumby from Monty Python who entertained himself by smashing bricks against his own head. The trouble is, the Gumby only hurt himself. The Democrats are hurting everyone.
Who? Name them. Put your money where your mouth is.
No, it’s the ignorant who are hurting everyone.
I don’t know if you are avoiding saying it, or there is something else. This is a tautology, most things are only good as the people who are running it.
If you already knew that, why did you ask?
Because I’m asking you why you think education is not worth and your answer doesn’t explain that
That’s a very simple question. Education in the US has become a government job. And we all know how that works and what the outcome most likely is to be. All one must do is compare the US to say a country like Japan. The education in Japan is so much better and so much cheaper.
Japan - While they are government employees, teachers have special status in terms of limitations on political activities, employment methods, and promotion.
There is a system of teacher rotation within prefectural schools to ensure equitable access to the most capable staff, and to prevent entrenchment.
AI - Would American teachers have trouble passing a teaching exam?
High Failure Rates: Data indicates that a significant portion of teacher candidates fail the standardized tests required for certification, with some failing on their first attempt and others not even retaking the test after failing.
We are talking over half the teachers fail the teaching exam on their first try. While lawyers first time test for the bar exam failure rate is 20 to 25%. Not that it has anything to do with teaching, it’s just something I find a little interesting.
Curious to know, what exactly is your experience in education?
Care to share what “significant” means here?
Have you taken the National Teacher Exam?
And importantly, isn’t it a good sign that the exam filters out the less talented candidates?
Doesn’t that mean that we are NOT getting the bottom of the barrel when it comes to teaching?
Doesn’t that indicate that the NEA is doing a good job?
The NEA is clearly up to date with what we are discussing regarding civics. Here is an article from 2017 about how civics education is hurting.
Education is ruined by the people in charge of it. They’ve lowered standards so much that it barely matters if kids attend school.
In France, up to the beginning of the 70ths, we had 2 systems.
At 11, the elite went to the college, then to lycée to pass baccalaureate, the gate to university and higher education. The others became apprentices, leaving schools at 14.
21 % of a generation got the baccalaureate.
Politicians decided that all young should get a full secondary education. Nowadays, 80 % of them get the baccalaureate. but it is not the same baccalaureate.
The 20 % elite go toi the best schools and are as good as the predecessors. The educational level of the 60 % remaining is a shame. But it is still above the level of their predecessors who stopped school at 14.
Some of them go to university, and that’s when the greatest damages have been caused. In total, between 1960 and 2020, the student population increased ninefold, from 300,000 to 2.8 million.
When you have students who are not good enough, and when you need to multiply very fast the number of teachers, the standards are lowered.
But, once more, the elite go to the great famous business schools, engineering schools and so. and their level is as good as the level of the 20 % of the 70th.
And the other ones don’t attain this level, but their level is above the one they would have attained 50 years ago.
We have the same problems you have. My brother was teacher in a vocational high school. Some students came having smoked, others came because they had no choice, creating problems of discipline, some could not really write and count.
Nevertheless, has French education been ruined ?
And who insisted that the States are responsible for the education of their voting public?
“[T]he powers reserved to the several States will extend to all the objects which, in the ordinary course of affairs, concern the lives, liberties, and properties of the people, and the internal order, improvement, and prosperity of the State,” Madison.

So, where did that get us? The Feds never set curriculum. They set standards.
That’s why Trump is dismantling the DOE. Uneducated labor is cheap.
In fact Slavery is the epidemy of Capitalism. Labor costs are the largest expense in all industry.
Just some facts about how eliminating the dept of education won’t change what is taught
I think it will, especially since they want their Xianity taught. That and what better way to control the vulgar then to not educate them.
The standards they set are very low.
