Excellent interview

There is an excellent program on C-Span, an interview with Kate Bowler, a young women who wrote a memoir about her experiences with Christianity and cancer. She discusses preachers on television and elsewhere, and others, such as Christopher Hitchens. She’s very articulate and interesting and talks of various aspects of religion. It’s on right now, but it’s repeated at 3AM, (Pacific time) so you can record it. I think you would enjoy it. Check your local schedule.

Kate Bowler is an assistant professor of the history of Christianity in North America at Duke Divinity School. She is the author of Blessed: A History of the American Prosperity Gospel (Oxford University Press, 2013) and Everything Happens for a Reason (and other lies I’ve loved) (Random House, 2018),which was a New York Times hardcover nonfiction best seller.
