Like I said, I’ll describe Purgatory in a future blog entry and we can discuss it then. I don’t want to give too much away right now. ?

I take the “have your cake and eat it too” to mean physically you can’t hold the cake in your hands and also consume it. It’s one or the other.

And that’s how the law works. It’s an all-or-nothing principle.

Why would you worship a God that willing to torture me?

“Purgatory is the place where the soul is cleansed of all impurities, as Dante described in his great poem The Divine Comedy. Today purgatory can refer to any place or situation in which suffering and misery are felt to be sharp but temporary. Waiting to hear the results of a test, or whether you got a good job, can be a purgatory. And an endless after-dinner speech can make an entire roomful of people feel as if they’re in purgatory.” (Source)

It’s temporary torture, but a necessary “evil” to purge one’s soul of sin. And you’re right. It’s your choice to sin, but doing so prevents you from entering Heaven.

Youre begging the question

What question?

You havent demonstrated that all mighty being even exists before you can talk about Purgatory

I’ll be doing an entire “season” on God but that’s happening in 8 months from now. I’m still researching.

What made you become an athiest, if you don’t mind me asking?

Can i answer by asking you how you define atheism?

I got the answer 10 years ago actually, but there’s a proper time and place for it, and now isn’t that time.

What is atheism?

Atheism

Absence of a belief in God. So whats the problem?

If you don’t believe in God, why would he believe in you?

I exist. No good reason to believe a God exists

You exist today physically, yes, but you’re asking about Purgatory. You won’t exist physically at that time.

So, a lack of physical presence in your life is the primary reason why you’re an athiest?

Is there any other reason?

If you don’t believe in God, why would he believe in you?
And you would know the difference? Please explain, I'm interested.

It depends on how you define “belief”. To me, it means acceptance. And it’s pretty easy to tell when one is being accepted and when they aren’t.

“You exist today physically, yes, but you’re asking about Purgatory. You won’t exist physically at that time.”

Debating Purgatory is a waste of time until firstly you have shown good reason for your Gods existence
