Not just anyone. Against your Supreme being. Whats your God wrong in, morally speaking?

Honestly, I can’t answer that. I mean, there are definitely instances in my life (and that of others) where I believe his judgement was unfair. But if I were the one “on trial”, I’d defend every decision I’ve ever made with conviction.

That’s just how I am – how I was created. And he should know that and fully expect me to fight, if required.

I do question though how well an athiest would perform during judgment. Is just claiming that there was “no physical evidence” enough to justify non-belief in our creator? I would argue that the physical evidence is actually abundant. The issue lies with the observer.

Or is being born and raised athiest a valid defense? I doubt it because it’s not like you’re not presented with opportunities to believe in God throughout life. Making the active choice to reject God has to have some kind of consequence.

I don’t believe in Hell, so I guess that consequence is waiting in Purgatory until you discover the error of your ways and seek forgiveness. Who knows how long that takes!

Yonkey - are atheists going to hell?

I just answered that. I personally don’t believe so, because I don’t believe in Hell. I think they go to Purgatory – which might feel like Hell, but isn’t.

But I don’t believe athiesm is an automatic trapdoor opening into Purgatory. I believe during judgment, one has the right to a fair trial where they must defend their life decisions. If you believe athiesm isn’t a choice, you must defend your stance and indicate why.

I dont want to enter Purgatory.

Me neither. I have a future blog entry coming up where I describe it. Stay tuned! ?

So i am an athiest and choose not to enter Purgatory. What happens then?

I don’t think you get a choice.

Again, this is all hypothetical. I’m not privy to how God’s sentencing actually works.

But thats my choice. Ball is now in Gods court. What does your religion say now will happen?

My religion states that you can’t enter Heaven unless you believe in God. So, that means your only option is to enter Purgatory.

It’s not like you can just physically sit in a courtroom after a judge passes judgement. You’re escorted out.

But your God can change the rules. It doesnt have to be this way.

Exactly. ? And to be clear, I don’t follow every rule my religion specifies either.

So why doesnt “he”???

I think that’s a question you need to ask God for yourself. I can give my thoughts, but it sounds like the answer you’re looking for is personal and unique to your life circumstances.

What would we call someone that forces others to worship him through torture?

Purgatory isn’t torture, Hell is – which is why I don’t believe in it.

And God’s not looking for “worship”, he’s asking for acceptance.

You said its like Hell. Acceptance why. ? Mafia boss also asks for acceptance

I said it feels like Hell, but physically it’s not Hell and therefore, it’s not a place of torture.

A lot of people ask for acceptance. You’re not forced to accept them. But you also can’t have your cake and eat it too.

Feels like so you are experiencing what hell feels like, aka torture.

Cant have your cake and eat says mafia boss. Either you accept my terms or you force me to blow your brains out.
