Cutting NASA’s earth science budget is short-sighted and a threat

When I went to bed last night, I had no intention of writing this commentary. However, I literally could not sleep contemplating the reckless cuts to NASA’s earth sciences budget being proposed by some in the U.S. House of Representatives.

These Republican imbeciles and the charlatan “experts” they follow are all bought and paid for by fossil fuel billionaires like the Kochs, and other obscenely wealthy individuals blinded by their own insatiable greed.
We haven’t seen such a heavy handed attack on science since 1616 when Pope Urban VIII disturbed by Copernicus’ Theory of Sun Centered Universe banned its printing and publication, eventually resulting in the trial of Galileo a few decades later.

Hmmm, just had the following thought, anyone care to evaluate?
Republican/libertarians are religious fanatics in that they place Dogma, Faith and Rejection of new information above all else.
Let’s be honest here. These guys aren’t stupid enough to believe in religion and not in science. They are Neo-Nazis/Fascists in business suits. And they’re smart enough to have taken that accusation out of circulation by accusing everybody ELSE and their brother of being Nazis. They are smart enough to know there are plenty of desperate people out there to take advantage of, and the more desperate they become the more they be amenable to your plan. And most importantly, they’re smart enough to know the methods of the Nazis in ww2 were ultimately ineffective because they were so in your face. They wrap their plans in the bible and the flag and slowly from the sidelines work their evil.
And so by attacking science, they take away the trust most people have in it. Similar to how the Soviet Union was officially atheist…people put their trust and faith in religion, i.e. NOT the government, so that was removed. The Neo-nazis of today similarly can’t have people putting faith in something that actually works against them through enlightenment and education. Religion OTOH is a perfect tool because it represents the shedding of enlightenment and education.
