1.What do you think of the idea of cryogenics?Pseudoscience or not? 2.What do you think of the idea of meditation?Pseudoscience or not?1. Cryogenics exists. Nobody has been brought back to life after being frozen. It’s very expensive to keep a body (or a brain) frozen. 2. Basically, pseudoscience. It makes some people feel better. That’s all. Drugs and alcohol also make people feel better, and there is nothing supernatural about them.
How is meditation pseudoscience? It’s a practice. It has been shown to have beneficial effects. Unless you believe you are soul travelling or something.

It's important to separate what a practice like meditation actually is good for from pseudoscience that people attach to it. Just because some claims about something are completely bonkers doesn't mean that it has no benefits. Meditation is a great way to control stress and to improve one's ability to focus.
That said, I’ve never really heard any benefits to cryogenics besides being an extremely expensive way to preserve someone’s remains - essentially creating an ice mummy.

Sorry Lausten, I meant to direct my remarks to Batman lover.
The basic practice of meditation is to sit in a lotus position and concentrate on not thinking. Really. You become aware of your body, the way the air comes in and out of your lungs, the way your heart beats. You watch thoughts come and go like butterflies in a garden, without making any attempt to follow up on them or attach any importance to them. As TA says, it’s a great way to relieve stress and learn mindfulness. But if you expect to levitate or project your astral body like Dr. Strange, that’s pseudoscience.

For that matter, you don't even need a lotus or any other specific physical position; just sit comfortably and experience the present moment without consciously thinking about it. I recommend Sam Harris's book "Waking Up" as an excellent woo-free introduction, written from a neurobiological perspective.
