"A scientific truth does not triumph by convincing its opponents and
making them see the light, but rather because its opponents eventually
die and a new generation grows up that is familiar with it."

Yeah, I've seen that before, and it no doubt appeared to be true in Max's time. But change is much more rapid today. I was born in a world where the clouds were pretty much our limits, now there are spaceships in museums. I see people changing their views on how the universe works every day. If we can't use our rational minds and ability to communicate to demonstrate to others the new truths that are constantly being discovered, then we risk blowing ourselves up or drowning ourselves.

It is correct if we are talking about technological progress,
but this technological progress didn't change man's psychology
or his faith.
Nothing was changed - a man still believes in a "holy cow"

Deism is like atheism in that both do not believe there is any entity directing our lives or involved in creation or that reveal truth to some people. Deism differs from science in that it claims a rational conclusion based on a lack of evidence. It extrapolates evidence of how parts of the universe were created to be true for the universe as a whole. That is non-scientifc.
That's right, it is non scientific. It is based on pure emotion.
