Well… what kind of reveal are you hoping for? It’s not like there’s a lamp to rub and out pops a genie. ?

GOD would know what it would take to convince me. Ask him please

Well… if you can help me define God, that’ll definitely be a start. Maybe if I’m able to convince you to believe in him again, it’ll work for others here as well.

You believe in a God you havent defined yet?

Well yeah, I was raised Roman Catholic.

So there - all powerful all knowing and His omnipresence is how you define him?

Alright, you’ll need to wait 8 months then till I formalize it better.

@write4u Did you have any questions?

Yes I do . And it is based on the “Law of Necessity and Sufficiency”

Necessity and sufficiency

In logic and mathematics, necessity and sufficiency are terms used to describe a conditional or implicational relationship between two statements. For example, in the conditional statement: “If P then Q”, Q is necessary for P, because the truth of P guarantees the truth of Q (equivalently, it is impossible to have P without Q).[1][2] Similarly, P is sufficient for Q, because P being true always implies that Q is true, but P not being true does not always imply that Q is not true.[3]

In general, a necessary condition is one which must be present in order for another condition to occur, while a sufficient condition is one which produces the said condition.[4] The assertion that a statement is a "necessary and sufficient" condition of another means that the former statement is true if and only if the latter is true.[5] That is, the two statements must be either simultaneously true, or simultaneously false

What makes you think God is a necessary property of the universe?

“What makes you think God is a necessary property of the universe?”

You could have simply asked this question without all the white noise attached

Ooh mathematics! Finally we’re speaking the same language.

Ok, I’ll answer your questions first:

So there – all powerful all knowing and His omnipresence is how you define him?
I think the Coronavirus is a good metaphor for God's power. Omnipotent- can kill anyone; omniscient- no known cure (until the vaccines were synthesized); omnipresent- affected entire planet.
What makes you think God is a necessary property of the universe?
Every piece of creation has a creator.

Ok now for how I’d define him. Think of the concept of infinity in math: :infinity:. It isn’t measurable because it has no bounds. But, we understand it conceptually as the largest possible number.

He asked about neccescity. How do you know the Universe and all within was the work of a creator?

Mainly the word usage: “Creation” implies a creator.

How do you know the universe was created.?

The Big Bang theory explains that there was some event that initiated the creation of galaxies, stars, planets, etc.

Big bang explained through what we know about science. Nothing supernatural is required

Excellent. My only question is what caused the Big Bang?

Dont know

And… we’re back to the supernatural. ?

Why?

Because there’s no scientific explanation – at least not yet. I doubt there will ever be, because the minute we discover how to create a universe, we become Gods.

Fallacious. Was it right the ancient greeks to believe in Thor to explain lightning?
