What about the fact that Martin had a backpack full of women’s jewelry and a screwdriver?
I wanted to clear this point up. Martin was, at one point (at school, I believe) found with these items with the police describing the screwdriver as a " burglary tool." But he did NOT have them on the night he was shot. He did, however, have some (not all) of the ingredients for a street drug known as "Lean" or "Purple Drank" which causes paranoia and fits of violence. He also had Twitter postings discussing the making of this drug. Combine this with what Rachel Jeantel said she said to Martin about Zimmerman possibly being a gay rapist and you get some interesting possibilities.
Oh yeah, I should have worded that differently. I'm aware that it was found by one of the school security officers at his school, leading to his suspension, not on the day of the shooting. Sorry for not clarifying that. Thanks, though.
And yeah, "sipping syrup", or drinking "lean" or "purple drank" is quite common down here in the South. Probably because it's extremely easy to make. The base ingredient is cough syrup, if I'm not mistaken.
