It occurred to me yesterday that the premise of this thread is sexist. Cuthbert is railing about women athletes dressing provocatively while ignoring men athletes who do the same. Maybe he has never watched swimming or diving competitions or seen any of the nude calendars featuring world-famous athletes. Frankly, I think he's being rather prudish. A few years ago some Austin, TX, musicians posed nude for a calendar to raise money for the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians. I know a few of them and while I enjoyed the photos I did not lose respect for the people who posed nude. Get over it, Cuthbert. Many of us can enjoy seeing women dressed in scanty clothes and maintain respect for them. As I stated earlier, the problem isn't the women and how they dress, the problem is you. Stop blaming women for your faults.What is so difficult about the notion of "context"? Swimmers wearing swim suits is a totally different context, geesh. Show me links to male runners dressed skimpy, presenting themselves as sex objects first, athletes second? Show me the links. And I'm talking (again context) in actual sporting events, not on a calendar that has a different goal. And btw, I love seeing scantily clad women too, and I have the utmost respect for women who are strippers who've chosen that line of work. Over and over you totally miss the point. Say the word context to yourself, google it, learn it's meaning. Good god Darron you're making me start to wonder. Let's get to the bottom of this. Tell us WHY do you like seeing scantily clad women? (And be honest. If you start on with a discussion of beauty, the female form, etc. you're lying through your teeth.)
