I don’t pop into these CFI forums all that often, but I took a couple of shots, and gave up after he showed no interest in actually figuring out what we think evolution is, and was content to keep hammering at his straw man. Maybe I have a bit of “aspie” in me to not pick that up right away?
I agree especially with practicing arguments and stuff, to allow people like coral star to stay on the site. Even if you call his stuff trollish, he’s not mean about it and isn’t trying to throw insults. From what I’ve seen of successful forums which attract a good balance and variety of interesting posters, finding that line between cutting off complete jerks which degrade the site and cutting off people who irk you but actually attract quality people is delicate. Every forum needs those members who are just edgy enough to make people want to join because it’s interesting.

At the latest in "what's wrong with that book" in Philosophy, he literally says "success" after assessing that his post "seems to have aggravated you". Can't get more troll-y than that.
The reason we put up with PFJ is that it’s so hard to restrain ourselves when someone sticks out his chin and says, “Hit me.” We take up the challenge, knock him out, and and he comes back, sticks out his chin again and says “Hit me again.” it eventually does become a useless exercise, but we know exactly what he’s going to do next. It’s hard to refuse to give him what he wants and he’s an incredibly easy target. It will stop being fun sooner or later.

The truth is, you're being trolled.
The other aspect is Why they do it. Sure I made a little joke about it, like the preacher says to as penance, to score points with god, etc. But emotionally, what must it be like to have this utterly irrational belief in something, to the point where you feel this need to convince everybody. It’s almost desperation, like as long as we can convince everyone the emperor has clothes we’ll be safe and it will be true. Pity comes to mind.
