I’ve thought of a way to fix the VA problems in one fell swoop. Pass a law that if a veteran can’t get treatment from the VA within a certain number of days, he or she can get treatment from the private sector and the VA has to pay for it. If this rule had been in place all along the VA would have magically become more efficient and all veterans would get the care they need on time. Money talks, even in poorly run government agencies.
