First, Lois, wouldn't your objection to #1. be answered by #2.? I've given this example before: I love Szechuan food but can't stand Indonesian food. You love Indonesian food. Since you would enjoy me taking you to an Indonesian restaurant, following your phrasing, you'd take me to an Indonesian place. By my phrasing you'd take me to a szechuan restaurant. Occam
