# Psilocybin as a Possible Treatment for Depression

Right, it’s not like you get a prescription. It’s a guided treatment. Only done once or twice.

I first heard about microdosing psilocybin (in a therapeutic environment) in 2016, on an episode of the Chelsea Handler talk show on Netflix.

I don’t recall too much from it, but I was able to find the website mentioned on the episode… I think the fellow who was interviewed on that episode was Rick Doblin, Ph.D (who’s mentioned on this page):

There are a few threads on this topic. NOVA is currently talking about it. The history of how LSD was discovered, taking seriously for a while, then wiped off the face of science for decades is a sordid tale. Hopefully this time around we keep the good and protect ourselves from the bad.
