Simple maths : Ovulation phase lasts roughly 4 days.
It means that, roughly, when 100 women are raped, roughly 14 can become pregnant. Only 5 do and it is significant !!!

The claim that pregnancy occurs when sperm in in the vagina is simply incorrect.

5% is much as in fact:
- women who become pregnant are not using pills and other mechanical preservatives when over 60 % of the women in USA use contraceptives.
- some raped women are under age or over age and cannot procreate. Lets say 75 %.
- if from 14 women in their fertile days, 5 become pregnant, it is 5/14 = 35, 71 %.
All added, it means that raped women who become pregnant are in their fertile age and day, not using contraceptive.
I am not good at maths and i think i am making a mistake:
100 x 75 % x 60 % x 14 % = 6, 3%
If from 7 women raped able to have a child 5 become pregnant, 71 % is more than significative.
Another way to look if it is significant is to search for the number or these women who would have become pregnant if not raped. and this number is very small.

All these discussions about percentages are non-productive.
Regardless of percentages, the question is not how many “persons” are aborted but if a timely abortion is performed before a fetus becomes a “person” to begin with.
It is clearly ridiculous to say that a person is created at the time of conception. Even a fertilized egg may never reach the uterus and just gets “flushed” (not aborted) during menstruation. If every fertilized egg was a person, every woman who had more than one period would be a mass murderer.

A fertilized egg is a human potentiality. It must clear a number of hurdles before it can take on the mantle of personhood.
Besides, **this is supposed to be about a woman’s sovereignty over her own body!**

**It’s about a woman’s right to make her own choices, no matter how much she’s been bullied and abused by men!**
**It’s about a government having no business in telling woman to make babies,**
unless they are doing it to created more future soldiers to fight in wars, **which in turn blasts the heck out of the phony _right-to life moral outrage_ over the killing of an unformed potentiality.**

According to the Bile, it’s not a person until first breath- at least according to the Jews. I’m willing to go with that definition, as well as it being a baby, if the woman desire said pregnancy.

Very true. If a period is late, it probably was a spontaneous abortion, aka miscarriage.

Most definitely. It is also sometimes a necessary health care, especially in cases where the woman may die if she carries the pregnancy to term.

I agree with both.
And i think that a time limit should be set except if the woman life is in danger or if the fetus is very abnormal. To abort a 3 weeks fetus and a 8 months one is not the same thing.
And a 16 weeks limit seems fair to me.

You can’t dictate your male opinion in that same breath you say a woman deserves sovereignty over her own body.
How about simply accepting that **a woman’s life is more important than an unborn fetuses life!** Period.
This simply isn’t an issue that full and part-time misogynist have any moral or ethical right to interfere with - _but then since when has morality or ethics slowed down anyone. There is that f’n golden rule._

Nobody is totally sovereign upon his body and himself.
The European courts of rights which is not a religious bigot instance has judged that abortion is not a question of privacy, because at some stage, the fetus is distinct form the mother.
One can agree with a right of women to abort and think that some limits are fair.
I Have read judge Alito draft and wanted to give a reasoned opinion about it, i needed to make some complementary research and lack time, sorry.
