I didn’t put Monica Guzman in the topic heading, but she is really the star of this interview, but it’s on Beck’s forum, and you’ll get commercials. If you stopped following Beck, he mentions his “apology tour” a few years back, when backed off on the craziness. It taught him some lessons. He also mentions his alcoholism, when they are talking about how people are now tied to their identities, be it BLM or KKK.

We see it on this forum all the time. People can’t really defend their opinion, but they get adamant about someone not believing them. Here’s a couple Monica quotes from the interview,

**“We get afraid that we’ll lose ourselves, that’s one of the ultimate fears, there’s something about who I am that is so inextricably tied to what I believe today that I will not be accepted if I let some air pass in between those beliefs”**

And, the myth of the magic reason; **When we have this one thing that changed me, so I just need to give it to you, and in this one exchange, you will be changed**.

For those, like myself, who never heard of Monica Guzman, here’s an introduction.

Glenn Beck is too much of a founding father of the American Alt-right fabricated Culture War, with enemies, whom they equate as anyone who’s liberal and progressive minded, or science loving for that matter. He turned lying with malicious intent into a political bludgeon like never before. Making hatred towards ‘the other’ along with a rejection of democratic ideals mainstream.
Delusional thinking became king, but he’s had his Road To Damascus Moment.
So now we are supposed to widen our horizons and sit down and listen to that stellar hate monger because he’s not a hate mongering creep anymore, now he’s just trying to make a living.

So he’s rebranded himself, the way they do with such alacrity.
Call me unimpressed.

I’ll wait for someone to show us a few quotes worth thinking about.

Bet, they are few and far between, and have less to do with Beck the ‘entertainer’ than his guest.

After that rant, I feel I need to share some facts regarding my deep distain for the entertainer.

> # Mike Huckabee rebuts Glenn Beck’s ‘progressive’ attack

> BY MICHAEL A. MEMOLI - APRIL 21, 2011
>
> Mike Huckabee is siding with Michelle Obama over Glenn Beck after the conservative talk show host jabbed him for his “bigger government tendencies.”
>
> On [his HuckPAC web site Thursday](https://www.huckpac.com/?Fuseaction=Blogs.View&Blog_id=3450), the former Arkansas governor defends [his support](https://articles.latimes.com/2011/feb/26/nation/la-na-michelle-obama-obesity-20110227) for the first lady’s “Let’s Move!” anti-obesity initiative, which he says is about personal responsibility and “not the government literally taking candy from a baby’s mouth. …”

> “You are not alone,” Glenn Beck likes to say. For the disaffected and aggrieved Americans of the Obama era, he could not have picked a better rallying cry.
>
> Mr. Beck, an early-evening host on the Fox News Channel, is suddenly one of the most powerful media voices for the nation’s conservative populist anger. Barely two months into his job at Fox, his program is a phenomenon: it typically draws about 2.3 million viewers, more than any other cable news host except Bill O’Reilly or Sean Hannity, despite being on at 5 p.m., a slow shift for cable news.
>
> With a mix of moral lessons, outrage and an apocalyptic view of the future, Mr. Beck, a longtime radio host who jumped to Fox from CNN’s Headline News channel this year, is capturing the feelings of an alienated class of Americans.
>
> In an interview, Mr. Beck, who recently rewatched the 1976 film “Network,” said he identified with the character of Howard Beale, the unhinged TV news anchorman who declares on the air that he is “mad as hell. …”
