Humans in general are not good at managing huge numbers of people. We still have that hunter-gatherer side of us where we function better in small groups where everybody knows each other. That’s why governments have become so complex.

Yes and no.

Yes we function in small groups. But we can make these groups function together in a coordinate way.

And, on earth, except insects, humans are the only one.

We can with a hell of a lot of blood, sweat and tears.

A prosecutor is a leader of the highest order in management of the Law.

In this country judges are the top managers of the legal system. But that’s mostly irrelevant anyway because most politicians are lawyers and that doesn’t automatically make one good at politics.

Leadership isn’t even something lawyers have to worry about. However, good management is necessary for a law firm to be successful. There’s plenty of other examples of how leadership and management aren’t the same.
