Inexplicably, seriously?
No explanations have been provided for the beating of our mammalian hearts. Is that what you ‘know’?
Well, it must be a miracle, eh Sree?

Lausten said: “Finding just what is meant by the fundamentals of science is not so easy. Do you mean fundamental things like light, sound, particles? Or the method of observe, question, hypothesize?”
Yes, simple fundamentals, the nature of which we never question because we can’t. As a computer programmer, you would get it when I tell you that we process information like computers. And like computers, we can’t really “think” independently of the codes (i.e. accepted knowledge or settled science) that direct the flow of reason and logic. This is what I meant by “premise” (scriptural or scientific), my understanding of which you questioned.
Try questioning the fundamentals of reality like time, space and mass. Even Einstein didn’t do it because he couldn’t. He had to work around it by fudging up space-time to explain the evidence that did not conform to the theory.
Sree #316295 What happens when you question scriptural authority is exactly the same as when you question scientific authority. In the former case, you get ex-communicated and in the latter, you are shunned by your peers.Bull Shit!
And of course I expect you will ignore every word Dr. Alley says, the same way you did with Widdershins’ most excellent summary response (at December 23, 2019 at 5:25 pm#316243.) which made a wonderful springboard for a serious discuss that you ran away from.
But, it’s typical for the religious type, blind to their own hypocrisy and depend on fabricating just-so fantasies about what they want to believe other side is all about. Then they top it off with no interest in correcting their misconceptions.
Try questioning the fundamentals of reality like time, space and mass. Even Einstein didn’t do it because he couldn’t.Huh? The theory of relativity was around before Einstein? I suppose the theory of electromagnetism was around before Maxwell and heliocentrism was accepted by the Pope before Galileo, and everyone understood optics before Abu Ali al Hasan ibn al-Haytham.
So, let me give you some guidelines before you post again. If you are going to make such a bold statement, put it in google first. Then read what you get back.
I can’t tell if you are referring to Einstein’s famous blunder or not. It doesn’t really match what you said about him fudging. And if you were, google that and read what has been said about it lately.
Sree: What are you, really? Pull the plug out and you disappear.Guess if one doesn't believe in physical reality one might be able to imagine that Sree.
But pull the plug on me and there will be a pile of something on that floor. That something that matters to the biosphere as it moves through time.
That something will then decompose and reenter the web of life and evolution, Although throughout my life, molecules and cells have been migrating into and out of my body. Hell one of those cells even helped create a wonderful human being. But one might say that’s not me. Well, that lump will have had family and friends, an interesting life that interacted with many people, and in some small (some big) ways it had influenced outcomes beyond itself, personally, spiritually, materially, all that remains and echoes forward. Though it too will fad with time, right back into the material evolutionary soup from which it came.
Can you follow any of that Sree.
I’m reminded of those childhood days when we could close our eyes and imagine nothing exists beyond ME. And yes it is true at some point we need to make that Leap Of Faith, namely that we are not that special, we are not god, we are part of something much bigger than me, myself, or I. We are part of a material reality, hell we are the product of it and embedded within it.
On the other hand, it sounds to me like you seem to want to cling to some belief that nothing exists outside of your own mind, it’s all relative to ME, seems your guiding light.
Furthermore, I believe that often when people say God they are unaware they’re actually referring to their own Ego.

There is no “shunning” in the scientific community. They don’t kick you out of the secret science club. They publicly disagree with you. They honestly evaluate the work you release, even when they remain unconvinced. And scientists can be smug, so sometimes they’re dicks about it. It is actually very, very common for even good scientific work to be rejected. That happened with the solar wind. Until, that is, the solar wind was detected. But you don’t get your license to science revoked. You don’t get banned from the Super Science Clubhouse (girls allowed since 1964). They don’t stop validating your parking. They publicly disagree with you. That’s it. If you can’t handle being honestly evaluated by your peers a career in science is not for you.
