The Famous Ancient Egyptian wars and battles

Ancient Egyptian wars: During the first moments of the history of Egypt, the old Kingdom, and the Middle Kingdom, that is, the time of the pyramids, the pharaohs did not have professional soldiers. It was like the “militia” of a few years ago, they were all volunteers soldiers, called up when they were needed for the Egyptian wars.

When Egypt was attacked or an expedition had to be organized against one of Egypt’s traditional enemies (the peoples of Nubia, Canaan, Libya or the desert nomads), the pharaoh’s officials would gather a group of men and, without extensive military training, send them on a mission

This meant, that military campaigns took place when agricultural conditions and climate permitted. For example, to go to fight in Nubia, where the heat is enormous, the time of winter and spring was preferred when the temperatures were not so high. On the other hand, to attack the area of Syria-Palestine, summer was chosen, after having harvested the crop. Being a soldier and a farmer had its disadvantages, especially from the point of view of the army. But in ancient times it was commonplace. During the first years of the Roman Republic, the same thing happened and they still conquered a great empire.

The beginning of the ancient Egyptian soldiers

Ancient Egypt, The beginning, was a quiet and calm people, therefore they did not need any army or weapon to defend themselves; however, in emergency situations, they enlisted a group of young people who, when they finished their task, returned home, that is, they did not have permanent armies. As the empire grew and had more and more power, it was necessary to expand and conquer new territories, so they had to recruit a fixed and trained army that was available for any battle. In the Old Kingdom, there was a predominance of foreigners

Fortunately for the Egyptians, the people they faced had the same kind of military training, so in their confrontations, they were almost always victorious. At least that’s what the Egyptian texts tell us.

No, it is not the country that gains wealth, it’s a few people who gain all the wealth.
And those few are always the ruling class. The wealth is why they are the ruling class.

Sometimes you remind me of George Carlin when he posited that God is all-knowing and all-powerful but just can’t handle money and always seems to need more money!

No credit is given to the Nile River. How typical.
Even here at home, we always get to hear how great America and Americans are and what a fantastic nation we built (only to start tearing it down, but that’s another story) - yet, it’s rare to acknowledge that it wasn’t the people, it was this country’s physical size and riches of resources (and occupants that were easily eliminated) - that’s what made America a great nation.
The people just had to show up and go to work. But, that was then and this is now, as soon as those riches get thinned out a bit, things started unraveling. Now we are getting into the age of reckoning.

About Egypt, besides the Nile, it doesn’t seem like such a wonderful place, sure plenty of ancient history, but what have they done for anyone lately? They seem to have plenty of problems, looking a lot like the problems most other nations are dealing with (or should I say kicking down the road).

The Temples gain wealth. It was the temples job to take care of the people. The Pharaoh’s job was to keep the would in balance. The world was out of balance when the people were not happy or well taken care of. What the Pharaoh would do is give some of the temples land to the people. The Pharaoh had to rebalance the earth about one each twenty years. If the crops were low the Pharaoh would go into Africa and buy cattle. And history got it as fighting enemy. Egypt fought against the Hittites in thirteen campaigns over twenty years over the olive harvest. Egyptian history says Egypt had great victory over the Hittites and won the war. Today we have the actual contract where Egypt sued for peace. The battle that Egypt lost the war is taught in West Point.

Yes, the “ruling class” such as the descendants of gods like the Pharaohs got all the wealth. Priests were not buried in golden caskets. Pharaohs were.

**The Divine Family**

The pharaohs of Egypt traced their lineage to the god Horus. Horus was the son of Osiris and Isis, two of the nine primeval gods of the Egyptian Ennead

Hollywood stars have wealth too. Does that make them the “ruling class”. the Pharaohs wealth was the first born tax system and the fact that they were believed to control knowledge. The temples were the ruling class. The Pharaohs were the bringers of love and joy to the people. They brought happiness and fairness, and protection to the people. Which put the Pharaoh on the side of the people and kept the ruling class from making the people unhappy. For that Pharaohs lived a gods life of wealth and power.

Just like the white people in the US were on the side of the imported slaves and brought them happiness, fairness, and protection. And for that they lived a life of wealth and power.
